Day 10 - Quirinale Hill and Via Nomentana

On this day, we begin near the Roma Termini train station, and walk a few steps to the church of S. Maria degli Angeli e Martyri, designed by Michelangelo to fit into the existing shell of the ruins of the Baths of Diocletian which at one time occupied the entire area for blocks in any direction.

We then pass by Moses waiting with Egyptian lions on tehe street corner as we make our way to S. Maria della Vittoria, and on down the street to S. Carlino alle Quattro Fontane and S. Andrea al Quirinale, Bernini's favorite church.
